The app works with iPhone 4, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS,  iPad and the iPod Touch. The only requirement for this to work is that the other user also should have the viber iPhone app running on his or her device. Viber is a free iPhone application that allows iPhone users to communicate freely over the internet using a Wifi 3G or Mifi connection.

The voice quality is slightly better than the normal GSM phones and is free to use. Viber does not have any hidden charges like other voice apps.
